Do I need an insurance license?
Yes. Selling insurance takes a property and casualty producer license in the state where you operate. The program is built for agents who already hold one.
Can I sell commercial insurance?
Yes, once we approve you for it. You start with personal lines. To add commercial lines you need the right license, our commercial training and higher errors and omissions coverage.
Do I service my own clients?
No. Licensed staff at the Insurox service center handle policy changes, certificates and billing questions, and Roxy answers your phones at any hour. You stay responsible for the advice you give and the business you write.
What does it cost?
The franchise fee, the ongoing fees and the estimated initial investment are set out in the Franchise Disclosure Document. We do not publish them here. Request information and we will go through them with you.
How much can a franchise earn?
We do not make any statement about what a franchise will earn, on this website or in conversation. Anything we are permitted to say about financial performance is in the Franchise Disclosure Document.
Which carriers will I be able to write with?
Insurox places business with more than 150 carriers across personal and commercial lines. Which of them you can write with depends on your state, your licenses and each carrier’s own approval.
I am a captive agent. Can I bring my clients?
That depends on the agreement you have with your current company, not on us. Many captive agreements limit contacting or moving clients for a period after you leave. Read yours, or have an attorney read it, before you decide.
I already own an agency. What happens to my book and my name?
That is worked out with you before you sign and written into your agreement. Tell us about your agency in the form and we will walk through it on the first call.
Where are franchises available?
Franchise sales are regulated state by state. Tell us where you want to operate and we will tell you whether we can offer a franchise there.
